Flagstaff Hill, Bowen.

Whist visiting Bowen in Queensland we vetured up to Flagstaff Hill for the view!
The first photo is of the beach where horses are taken to swim.




The above is a view of some of the Whitsunday group of Islands in the distance.


These two photos are of Bowen taken from Flagstaff Hill.




There in the distance is a port that takes coal to wherever.

    Horse swimming would be much more pleasurable for horses in the warm northern waters. Our horses here must freeze.

      Great up there, a restaurant, table and chairs on top of the hill...good place to rest.

    Maybe Winx is secretly taken up there in the winter months for her
    swimming and exercising on that beach?????????
    Great views of the Whitsundays.
    I suspect that coal freighter is off to either China or India.

      Have seen horses swimming in the sea but wasn't at that beach when horses would have been there.

      No we did see any horses there when we were there last year, but have seen horses swimming in the sea here at home.
