Always good to see palm trees growing in the sand.
Crocodiles and ameebas .. huii. They are those animals which we cannot see here. The greatest danger we have is to strike the toe to stone or a piece of glass .. heh.
Heh.. of course we swim in summer. We have lots of lakes around Finland (thousands..) and on the sea too. And some people swim during the winter on a hole on the ice.
Strange about that, have seen it so many times with little boats in the river, big sign re crocs and men in water - it't a wonder they live, the men I mean.
Sometimes I wonder why Councils and Surf Clubs bother to put up safety signs. Some people just refuse to read or worse to believe. Tourists are by far the worst. Great photos as always and report. Well done.... your FNQ promotion is fantastic. Colin
Even salt water crocodiles don't spend much time in the sea, but would I want to take the chance? No, and nor would I trust that the lifeguards can spot any in the water, let alone the stingers.
Never take a chance in Croc areas as you just never know, can't see them but they are there lurking about...wouldn't get me in the sea or a river/creek either. How about all those jelly fish washed ashore recently.
what great photos. in adelaide we have jelly fish and sharks to worry about. jelly fish are not usually fatal. the beaches up that way are just beautiful. when i was in cairns they had netted areas to swim in that were supposedly to keep out the crocs and i think the stingers, although i don't know how. the waves were crashing over the top of the net. oh dear. apparently panty hose are stinger proof but i wouldn't risk it. people were out there swimming. brave and/or foolish. not for me. hope all is well Margaret
Here accident occurs when people ignore the signs on beach as we hear in news about sinking .Though jelly fish is threat too but not most of the time . amazing photos friend!

DeleteTo the beach, which I usually go the summers, there is no problem of jellyfish and much less crocodile, so, you can bathe with all confidence.

ReplyDeleteInteresting regarding pantyhose. Many people don't like nets but we saw them up north, it's a help for swimmers.
