The Bird Lady

We have arrived on the Sunshine Coast in the State of Queensland after taking the wrong turn, but that's only a minor thing.  Going to somewhere that's not intended often turns out to be a blessing.

The Apartment we stay in over looks the water and everyday there is a lady that comes, sits herself down on a picnic table and feeds the Rosella Parrots. She times her visit about 4pm and leaves just after 5pm after cleaning the mess on the table.  Sometimes people stop and talk to her.  Last year she did that same.

The Lady and the Rosella Parrots. I hope the colours of the Parrots are fairly visible and the photo was taken some distance away.

  1. Hello Margaret,

What an extraordinary and exotically coloured sight the parrots make. It seems all so very far removed from a few sparrows gathering that one may see in an English garden.

You look to be in a wonderful spot for your holiday. Enjoy!

    1. The parrots are very pretty up close, as most birds have lovely colours even the plainest ones. It is a lovely place here...

  5. You have a nice spot there. The parrots learn where to come for a feed. I think they are Lorikeets.
