Lavender

Nabowla Lavender Farm began in 1922, with Lavender seeds from France. The original site was just up the road, as we say. The lavender is harvested from December through to February, depending on the weather.  We have visited Nabowla, with it's French Lavender growing several times over the years.
It's called Bridestowe Estate.

      It's lovely out there and lots of bees which are lacking in our garden.
      Think I might have the photos a bit too sharp..oh well, never mind :)

    Hello:
    Years ago we visited Norfolk Lavender in the United Kingdom which we thought to be very impressive. But it was not at all on the scale of this. We are now imagining the scent. Wonderful.

      I have an idea that this lavender farm is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere, or it was, not sure.

      Thanks Jane. Amazing but lavender in the field doesn't smell, but if you take a head off and rub it with your fingers, then their is that lovely lavender smell.

      Thanks yevisha. In the shop that's there they do have postcards of the lavender. The sphere is something different and I enjoyed making it.
