Across on the ship to Melbourne, Australia after a good dinner on board, great sleep in the cabin and up at 5.30am to get ready for breakfast, then down the decks to hop in the car and off the ship about 6.45am, then up over the Westgate Bridge without being held up and therefore well onto the thousands of klms to drive to see our son and his family.
We eat breakfast at each motel we stop at after our big sleep, lunch at a cafe, and dinner in a restaurant sometimes in our room or in the dinning room of the motel if there is a dinning room.
Whilst I am gone from home, someone takes my father shopping etc. plus we talk everyday.
Following a car driving on board the ship.
The Murray River, Tocumwal NSW
The River is high as you can see the sign, and not the post it's on.
Murray River Cod, Tocumwal, NSW
The levee bank was made so that when the Murray River flooded that part of the town didn't become the same.
Been a while since I have been to the Murray River area, just seeing the photo of the Murray River Cod, brought up some memories....thank you for that
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome, Jo-Anne :)
Deletesounds like a big adventure for you. is the crossing from tassie a smooth one? it' a fairly big vessel isn't it? i know that bass straight can be pretty rough. lovely photos too. glad your dad has company whilst you are away. enjoy
ReplyDeleteyevisha,
Deletefor us the crossing is fairly smooth we seem to travel well with 9 returns under our belt. Yes, it's a big ship. Bass Strait is shallow therefore the sea can be rough however haven't struck a real rough sea as yet...knowing me I would probaby sleep through it :)
It' good to know that dad has someone to call upon him whilst I am gone.
That is one heck of a long way to drive and you do it fairly often don't you? Enjoy your trip and keep safe.
ReplyDeleteI suppose it is a long way to drive Diane, and yes we do it every year to visit our son etc....it's here that I delivered the baby on the side of the road, I think you recall that!
DeleteThanks we will enjoy.
Oh it is great that you and B have such a nice long drive to see your son. Lots of talking and enjoying the view. Perfect.xxoo G
ReplyDeleteHello B,
DeleteOh yes, we have chatted a lot already. First time my husband has seen our new grandson :) now 6 months old. Love M xoxox
Great pics! The water level sure is high. I love travelling and personally enjoy staying in motels more than hotels - better pricing for sure.
ReplyDeleteHello Jane,
DeleteYes, the water was high. You just wouldn't stop in the Hotels in some of these towns, Motels are much nicer.
The fish is a very special piece of art.

Hello Filip,
DeleteThere are many 'things' like the big fish in Australia.
