Odd things happen on Blogger. Each day I look in my Spam and not many comments are put in there thankfully. A couple of days ago I went to Spam as usual and found 698 comments in it even my own comments! So I went on the hunt and posted them all deleting the odd real spam. Seems strange because nearly all the comments were already published. Another glitch!
Down near Port Arthur we visited the Tasmanian Chocolate Foundry for a 'treat' and a look. They make their own chocolate of course and selling many things such as Soy Candles which have a chocolate smell, I bought one and it was excellent. The foundry shop site is [ here ] where by you can see the items that they sell.
The first photo is of a butter churning machine of old. I recall my grandmother having one of these plus my late mother in law. I used to make our own butter once but with a wooden spoon after beating with the electric mixer just to see what it tasted like. We spent 8 years living on my husband parent's farm before we moved to the city.

The aprons were very nice with Australina/Tasmanian creature on them.

The chocolate was very tasty, peppermint being one of my favourite, the peppermint was all the way through the solid chocolate.
I purchased this book on the Tasmanian Tiger as I find the distinct tiger intriguing.
I love dark Peppermint chocolate too, but seldom eat it, except for a special treat.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand what is going on with comments either, sometimes all is OK, and at other times it nearly drives me to grab a piece of peppermint chocolate!!!

DeleteWouldn't want to bypass this place, I love chocolate. I check my spam folder everyday, sometimes I have a few, sometimes a lot. It's very annoying.

That's strange the older comments being in your spam and not published back then, blogger sure does some odd things. Yes, I ate the chocolate about a day after I bought it but it took me a week.

DeleteBlogger seems to be targeting short comments. Like you, sometimes I have none to clear and sometimes heaps (my own included). I have never had that many though.

DeleteI noticed the same phenomenon in spam folders too. Now it is a routine to clear the folder on the daily basis. The chocolate factory is quite a rural charm with the decor.

I've never visited a chocolate making factory and it must be quite interesting. My mother used to use a butter churn, until my two year brother decided it was very similar to his potty chair. Yes, no more butter churning.

Another place I have been, my mum use to churn butter as a young girl living in a small country town.

unlike your ancestors my grand parents made butter at home completely with ancient methodology with hands and in hug clay pot (drumi) in which the a thick wooden stick was passing through the wooden cap of drumi .my grandma would pull the rope tied in stick with her both hand one by one which would make stick move on it's exes and stir the milk inside the drumi .this way would generate the butter :)

DeleteAs a child, buying and eating chocolates was an addiction of mine. I love chocolate very much and also with mint in it, delicious. When I got the addicted, then I secretly take money from my father's pocket and buy chocolates from the shop. Reading your blog reminded me of my childhood.
