Mosaic in Townsville, Queensland. Australia.

Photo of one of several Mosaics by one the beaches at Townsville in Queensland.
We have been here for one week and head south to Ayr on Monday morning for another week.
Some caravan parks offer 'free' internet but it's so hopeless one doesn't bother to connect.

I broke my Nikon Lens and had to purchases another.  Yes, dropped it on concrete further up north.  A first for everything!

  2. Seguramente no tendrías un protector de lentes, en caso de caídas se rompe el protector permaneciendo la lente intacta. Yo también he viajado hasta el mar, ahora todo lo veo desde el móvil.

    1. It's unfortunate that I dropped the lens.
I too take photos with my phone as I have a new one and the camera is rather good.

  4. I love the fish mosaic. We have large colorful apple mosaics (or maybe they're sculptures). Each has a different theme depending on its location. For example there is an apple with a stethoscope near the hospital.
I'll have to make a post about this someday.

  9. The colorful mosaic fish looks so pretty with the smoky mountains in the background. Too bad about your lens.

  10. Great to know ( besides the lens mishap and your kissing of the cement/gravel
unexpectedly). Keep having fun and enjoying the far better weather than presently being tolerated in rainy, flooding, snowy and cold Tassie.
    Cheers

  12. That's the prettiest fish I've ever seen.
Camera lenses don't take well to being dropped, do they?
Glad you were able to get a replacement.

    1. I was lucky to get a lens at all in one way, I had to take what they had, not what I wanted. All is ok though :)

  13. The fish looks lonely. Bad about the lens. Not covered by home insurance?

    1. There are other mosaics so the dish is not too alone.
The lens could be covered, will have to look on the policy when I get home. Still have receipt.
