Never used to eat sweets once as in dessert, but lately I do but it does depend on what the dessert is..
I find it interesting about the cutlery for dessert down this end of the world. I prefer to use a fork for dessert which is odd, but, when the table is set there is never a fork, just a spoon so I always have to ask. Then when visiting other peoples houses for dinner in the evening, there is never a fork with dessert, so off I go again, asking.
I always have a spoon and a fork at home, and so did my parents. What do you have?
This is Chicken and Prawn Wonton which was delicious and certainly not filling.
So into the ice cream and chocolate topping (3 scoops), then I had had enough to eat till dinner time.
Margaret!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are not a glutton, are you????
I'd give the main course a miss - no appeal whatsoever - BUT
course #2 - move over "Honey child" - bugger the spoon and fork! ha ha.
However, I don't think I would stoop to the food eating of that "no-necked
monster kid" in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof". My manners are a bit more correct
than that "brat". ha ha.
Previous topiary blog: They are so magnificent, pity we don't see more of this
gardening "dedication here" but I guess time is a problem of PATIENCE and DEDICATION.
Have seen some in the Hunter Valley and the first I ever saw was at the magnificent
resort Hotel at Hua Hin in Thailand - the Sofitel Central.
Now if you want a luxury holiday and see old World Charm - this place is a must.
Google and look.
Now back to my beloved tennis!!!
Cheers
Colin
No not a glutton Colin, I just eat well!
DeleteRe Topiary, one has to be interested in gardening as well as what you have mentioned.
Yes, I will Google and look.....thanks..
Always a fork and spoon. But sometimes a dinner fork and a salad/dessert fork. Looks like you might need a spoon for that ice cream! Yummy!
ReplyDeleteThat's good a fork and spoon etc. I manage to eat ice cream with just a fork!
DeleteNo dessert fork? How does one eat dessert or cake without a fork? A spoon and fork are required to eat dessert. As an unfilling snack, the won ton looks delicious. What a presentation.
ReplyDeleteNo fork, I know it's weird Andrew, and I for the life of me can't understand why people don't set a fork a dessert one at the table. The Wonton snack was lovely, would have it again.
DeleteA spoon for that delicious ice cream but I always put out a spoon and dessert fork. The Wonton looks very good and very healthy.
ReplyDeleteYou are the same as I am then Rosemary. The Wonton was healthy, salad and chicken.
DeleteOh I would eat that dessert with anything it looks delicious. Oh it looks good. Dessert fork here but the ice cream I think would need a spoon. Hug xo G
ReplyDeleteIt was delicious G. It's good you have dessert forks too :) and I eat ice cream with a dessert fork..I manage very well, but have a spoon handy incase it's needed.
DeleteMargaret, it looks great and so tasty. The first dish is very interesting and I have never eaten it.
ReplyDeleteIt was delicious..
DeleteWow, that's a mighty big sundae!
