The Farm!

The farm we lived on when first married was at the foot of what is called the Western Tiers, though we were some distance away.  Had a wonderful view of the country side plus a Creek/River ran through the bottom of the property.

There was an orchid next to the house, the trees were old and didn't bare much fruit as the previous owner had neglected them. So out they came. The photo below is 'old', my husband driving the tractor, our friend,  two of my cousins plus my father.

There was many a party in that old barn. Won't go into that :)

  1. I love this old photo is has a lot of fun and character to it . Look at your husband looking like a fun rascal farm boy in his shorts and boot and a sly smile and you looking lovely like movie star looking on with your arms crossed in your smart skirt and sunglasses ~ I Love it :)

    1. You are right, it tells a story.
Actually that is my cousin with her arms crossed, I was taking the photo, however I was always dressed up and in heels except when looking after my few horses.

  2. my cousin lives on an very small old farm. There is a tractor, a little barn, and the ground looks like it was prepared for planting. Except nothing grows there anymore. The tractor is rusted and broken, and the little barn has just junk storage.

Funny how things can change in a couple of decades

    1. Shame nothing grows there now. Yes, it is a shame how things change on a farm.

    1. He was happy G. The parties went well into the night, could make all the noise and no one could hear us, no neighbours near.

    1. Yes, lots of fun parties, and everyone came to the house to sleep well into the morning. It was nothing for me to feed about 20 people for breakfast in those days.
