50th Wedding Anniversary

Today is a very special day, it's our 5oth Wedding Anniversary.

My husband and I were married in the Catholic Church, the Church of Apostles in Launceston on this day at 11am.
We were teenagers and some people were said to say, 'it wouldn't last'.
Two priest married us on a beautiful autumn Tasmanian day.
Had two cousins as my bridesmaids and my husbands youngest sister as a junior bridesmaid.
My cousin as best man and one of my husbands friends as a groomsman.
We had a 150 guests at the Church and Reception.
Nearly 16 years later our first son was born, then 11 months after that the youngest son was born.
Why the delay?  Natures way!
All good things come to those who wait :)

    1. Thank you Filip and Kristel. A long time, but doesn't seem that long. When married young you grow together and mature together, usually.

  11. 50 years hey. Congratulations on achieving what is no small achievement. While I am not an appreciator of fashion, I like the chair in the photo and it is great that you have the moment so well preserved.

Well I have no idea why the photographer put the chair there, but it was done in those days.....but I still feel young which is good.
