My youngest sister in law has a cat called 'Arabella' she is a British Shorthair the pedigreed version of the traditional
British domestic cat, with a distinctively chunky body, dense coat and
broad face. Also my eldest daughter in law has one and her name is Chloe. These cats are kept inside, need a lot of brushing and leave their cat hair everywhere. A good scratching pole is a necessity for Arabella.
I used to own a few cats when first married when we lived on a farm. When we came to the city to live, all the other cats had gone expect one which I brought to the city and he eventually died of old age. No more cats after that.
Janice, those are very unusual cats, and I'm not a real fan of the look. I'm a dog lover, so cats are a real attraction for me....but I still like the ordinary cat.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the normal cat too. I like some dogs...we have had dogs but they all gone to heaven now, don't think we will have anymore for the time being...
DeleteThat is a very cute cat - I bet she is really well loved.
ReplyDeleteExtremely well loved...and groomed too..
DeleteThis sweetie has gorgeous fur and eyes. I love cats.
ReplyDeleteVery thick coat but if touched out comes the fur. I'm pleased I don't own that breed.
DeleteI am a cat lover and unapologetic about it and a lover of the mongrels, the strays, the unpure in genetics. We have bred a lot of animals badly, like the poor English bulldog whose underbite renders him hopeless and the Persian, who can barely breath or eat. I'll take a stray anyday, but this blue kitty with the wide set eyes and upturned nose, is quite pretty.
ReplyDeleteThey are snooty cats :) but loved by their owners.
DeleteI love your cat but in Poland this type is not so common.
ReplyDeleteMy sister in laws cat is cute...this cat is not a common Australian cat.l
DeleteSuch a gorgeous kitty! Hope you are enjoying the week.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yes having a busy time with the painting...
DeleteShe is so well groomed. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat she is and often taken to the breeder to have her groomed properly.
DeleteI've always had dogs
ReplyDeleteDid you. I like both cats and dogs, we have none now.
DeleteI am not a cat person, I don't hate them or anything I am just not that into pets, really I am not a dog person either I just don't have the patience to deal with pets, maybe if I end up living alone when I am old I might get a kitten/cat but that is a long time off if ever
ReplyDeleteMy parents when alive were not into cats and dogs, so I can relate to what you are saying.
DeleteThey are nice looking cats, but the thought of all that hair. Are your more a dog person?
ReplyDeleteToo much hair for me too....I like both cats and dogs Andrew and have had both in the past.
DeleteDog person here too but that face and those eyes are mesmerizing! Almost creepy! Beautiful coat, I'm just glad that it's not me who has to brush it.
ReplyDeleteAnimals and their eyes, they sometimes get to us...they tell so much.
ReplyDeleteNice shots of this cat.
ReplyDeleteGreat with the big eyes.
Many greetings,
Marco
Lovely big eyes...thank you.
DeleteGreat shots of the pussy but I'm afraid I have no time for cats. Too many reasons to put here.
ReplyDeleteCats or dogs are not for everyone.
DeleteYour cat looks great. Here eyes are very powerful. She sits in a beautiful chair.
ReplyDeleteYes, great eyes..
