More photos of the Sunday drive down Huonville way. Most photos were taken whilst moving in the car.
Bales of Hay most likely.
As you drive around the Huonville area you see these large apple shed and apples for sale, it's help yourself to the produce for a fee. The apples are kept in a fridge by the farmer/orchardist.
The above photo is of a small area of a cherry farm.
I have never seen bales of hay like those. Beautiful views from those houses.
ReplyDeleteI like the header.
Thanks re header. Many farmers now do their hay like that now.
DeleteBeautiful landscapes.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are spectacular even being taken with the car in motion.
Thanks Maria.
DeleteThe bales of hay are an interesting sight!
ReplyDeleteThey are and sometimes the out cover is a different colour.
DeleteThe bales of hay are interesting..have never seen them before.
ReplyDeleteMuch the go down here now, new way for doing the bales of whatever.
DeleteI've never seen such bales of hay before, such unusual shapes))) Cherry farms.. Mmm.. Love cherries. Today I've baked a cherry pie. If you lived closer I'd invite you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the invite - I will pretend I'm eating your cherry pie and I'm sure it's delicious...thank you.
DeleteBellissime queste fotografie.
ReplyDeleteThank you, the bales are often too far away in the paddocks to photograph but this time I was lucky as they were close.
DeleteA truly delightful drive. Thank you. I can remember when hay bales were all rectangular and left open to the elements. Both seem to be rare now...
ReplyDeleteYou are right as I remember too, and no we don't see bales stacked in the barns these days like we used to.
DeleteThe house with either fake brick or strange brickwork should have great rear views over the valley. The last house looks very nice.
ReplyDeleteThat houses brick does look strange, it certainly didn't keep the outside of the house nice so wondering how long it's been on the walls. Wonderful view I presume from where those houses are - have a lovely house for next post, well I think it's lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe bales have some type of plastic around them that disintegration over time.
DeleteWhat beautiful landscapes, the cloudy skies are also very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Irma
Thank Irma
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteThese are really nice shots! And I agree with Ildefonso- the sky and clouds.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill, was a rather cloudy dreary day.
DeleteBeautiful country scenes. The bays of hay look very neat.
ReplyDeleteAll stacked neatly in a row.
DeleteGostei.

Hello Margaret
ReplyDeleteAs you can see you have fall, apples, bales of hay and gray grass all around. So it is that now I have a little more color and joy in nature. It is May, so the most beautiful month, juicy, fresh green makes me happy and everyone who appreciates it.
I wish you much warmth.
Cloudy days ahead of us for winter I presume, some days are just lovely though. Spring is May and the colours on your blog are beautiful.
Me gustan

Besos.
ReplyDeleteWe can't always stop and take the landscape or houses from the road as there isn't anywhere to park, so it's take the photos out the window as you drive along as you do Teresa.
