Continuing Ragged Jack Road drive. The first photo we took the top or right road kept going along thinking we would come onto a highway, but, alas - the bridge was down and it appeared that it had been for sometimes, should have been a sign to say 'no through road', oh well we did enjoy the drive in the bush and plantation. 4th photo is a scene of a tree plantation then some kind of plant that blends into the colours of the grasses and then we came into Upper Blessington a farming area then home.

A sign saying road was closed would have been a good idea, however, we saw scenery we would not have seen.

DeleteI wonder what kind of flowers that plant has before they went to seed. It rather resembles a Verbascum - Mullien plant.
ReplyDeleteHave no idea Rosemary but it's growing wild on the side of the road, and you could be right, looked it up and the leaves as similar so probably in the same family.

DeleteThat's the kind of ride I love! As you say, a "road closed" sign would have kept you from the discoveries. The mystery plant reminds me of one we've seen on the dry side-- but it does appear to be different. ALso--- my blog is still at the very end of your list, but at least it goes to the blog. Most still show the blog in nothing but code.

DeleteThat looks a nice country drive. Bad luck about the bridge and no sign to alert you. WE had that happen here in QLD once when we were looking for a waterfall. when we arrived at the carpark it said path closed due to storm damage. Why couldn't there have been a sign way before we went into the NP.
