It is a lovely area around Bowen, some people call it 'blowin Bowen' but I must say we have never struck a lot of wind whilst there in any of our visits.
Last photo was taken late in the day getting towards the sunset, we started off taking beaches about 4.30pm and did the rounds arriving at sunset with the first photo.
Thanks. Each year we go to Bowen I do a sunset round of the beaches and always end up where the first shot was taken, no beach there but the colour of the hills sure do come out.
Sure is a bit dry. If your overseas followers are impressed with that beach, they would go "bananas" over the beaches south of Noosa! We are sure blessed with our magnificent beaches in Australia. No wonder we excel in water sports on the world stage. Colin
The nicest beach for me is here in Tasmania - on the east coast at Friendly Beaches in a National Park. Australia does have some beautiful beaches, have to agree with you there.
Thanks Andrew. That beach is rather small but it's very popular even in winter during the day, I was there late afternoon not long before sunset and most had gone home or holiday makers to their caravans/cabins.
Looks a beautiful area and one that is no doubt interesting. I could spend a few happy days exploring there.
