Squeaking Point

Continuing on a day trip we called into Squeaking Point which is a small town attached to Port Sorell, and Hawley.
Two women were fishing from the jetty.

I wish I could get my wife out of the house...she's a home-body.

    The places we could enjoy...

    1. That's a good question Cynthia.
I found a radio program and there is a man who says that the sand was squeaky at the point, then the sand over time has gone, now there are pebbles - hence the name Squeaking Point..there is a theory about a ship and squealing pig but no documents were recorded of the ship ever being there etc.
      Interesting!

  7. Love that name. It looks like a truly peaceful spot and I suspect I would be very happy sitting on that pier - even if the fish weren't biting.

    1. It was Rosemary and much improved with that rather good jetty from the time I'd been there before.

  12. That jetty looks very sturdy, a perfect place to sit and think. All day and half the night too.
