Is the red on the rocks lichen? It looks vivid and beautiful.
Yes it is lichen David. Not as much at Hawley as there is at the Bay of Fires down the east coast.
Yet another beautiful spot. The red on the rocks really pops.
Yes it does stand out EC, it's a pretty beach area.
I think that you have showed that rusty coloured lichen on the rocks before - it is very dramatic.Your new phone camera takes great photos.
Thanks Rosemary. Yes, haves shown lichen on the rocks before but down at the Bay of Fires which is on the east coast of the Island.
Personally I'd say YOU take great photos. These are excellent.
Thanks Bill :)
Nada más que por ver esos paisajes, merece la pena ir hasta allí.Besos
Lovely there, many people live in the district.
Los paisajes son preciosos. Un beso.
Thanks Teresa.

Thanks Jo-Anne.
I love rocky beaches. They're so much more interesting than just a stretch of sand.
They are and most of us love to climb on them,
Beautiful, the rocks coming out of water, superb.
Even when the tides in it never covers the rocks. Reasonably sheltered in that area.
I really like the one with the tree.
Always nice to see a tree.
What an idyllic spot for a family holiday then and now!Wren x
It is a wonderful place. The sons learnt to ride their bikes on that beach when they were little, ever so long ago.
I'm bettin' the place is very serene.
Oh yes it is, it certainly was when we used to stay there and it still is according to friends there.
What a gorgeous place. I never seen red lichen before, it really stands out.
Yes it does. We have much more of it down our east coast
