Beautiful day on Saturday not too hot, took my husband who is slowly improving for a drive to Evandale and back. We stopped at the Lions Park down by the South Esk River where camping wasn't once permitted but it appears it is now.
The photos were taken with my phone. There is a link of how the river looked back in the day, it's very different now as you can see.
Didn't know your husband was ill. Maybe I missed the post where you mentioned it. I wish him a full recovery.
ReplyDeleteThat is a pleasant place to spend a few hours.
Thank you Catarina. Was the last post, so post before this one!.
DeleteIt's lovely there, nice and clean.
A beautiful place. It's great that your husband is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne on both accounts.

ReplyDeleteSpectacular Header!
It's interesting to note that the blue color of the river and that of the sky are almost identical. Wishing your husband a speedy recovery!
Thank you Duta, taken up a mountain or I should say on the way down towards sunset, also took it with my phone. Thanks re husband.
DeleteWhat a lovely place
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely there Jo-Anne, it does flood if enough rain, but ok in summer.
DeleteEn este lugar, tan lleno de naturaleza, seguro que tu marido no tardará mucho tiempo en recuperarse.
ReplyDeleteTe deseo una buena semana.
He has to get stronger now, only finished his antiboitics yesterday and gradually getting his appetite back for certain food...the drive looking at that view did him good.
DeleteThe views are just so pleasing and relaxing
ReplyDeleteIndeed they are.
DeleteI suppose there was a good reason for removing all the trees. The river does look very nice.
ReplyDeleteYes Andrew, to left the river flow more so it doesn't flood as much when it rains as many rivers go into this river if that makes sense.
DeleteCamping by the river is great for health and spirit!
ReplyDeleteThat's very true Hels. Good for the soul.
DeleteSo relaxing and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYes Angie it is.
DeleteIt all used to be so lush and green!
ReplyDeleteIt did, now it looks so bare
DeleteWhat beautiful photos and a beautiful view.
ReplyDeleteI love the header.
Greetings Irma
Thanks re header Irma. Returning from a mountain taken on the way down.
DeleteGood that you're spending some time out and about--- Re your wondering: Fairly ordinary, I suppose. Salami or pepperoni, red and green bells, coarse ground pepper and a gang of Italian herbs. And mozzarella and a dash of whatever else might be around, cheese-wise. Sliced mushrooms. Oh dear, now I'm hungry again. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me. We don't have pepperoni but do the other ingredients and more. Thanks for the reply :)
DeleteI messed up my previous comment. Anyway, I'm glad you're getting out. In answer to your wondering about pizza: A tomato-based sauce, rich in basil and oregano. Pepperoni or salami. Sliced mushrooms. red and green bell pepper chunks. Mozzarella and whatever other cheese close by that would work. Coarse ground pepper. Fairly ordinary, I guess.
ReplyDeleteSomethings are the same as I put, but don't use perreroni.
DeleteA lovely place to camp!
ReplyDeletehugs
Donna
Nice and peaceful there to a degree, the airport is near and planes do fly over that area of course but you would get used to them, and really we don't have many planes.
DeleteLovely to get out and about in the spring sunshine, I love that.. looked back at your homemade pizza and wow its like a full meal, guess it was delicious.
ReplyDeleteYes the pizzas have several toppings to fill us - and thank you. It's summer down here..
DeleteSe ve un lugat estupendo. Las fotos le hacen muy bien a tu marido, no sabia que nada Margaret . Poco a poco irá mejorando. Gracias por compartir

ReplyDeleteAgree with you Ashok.
DeleteWonderful and peaceful place.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your husband is recovering.
Yes it is lovely there Maria.
DeleteThank you - husband is improving each day.
My power absence issue is making me late for reading blogs.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your hubby dear Margaret!
I wish and pray for his speedy recovery!
River looks gorgeous but different than precious days .seems shrinking of the river is common around the world sadly.
Health peace and happiness to you both and family!
Must be inconvient without power when you are used to it - but we do get used to what is dealt us in this life Baili. Thank you.
DeleteHusband is improving each day.
Hello Margaret.
ReplyDeleteAnother great place to relax, any opportunity to spend some nice time on a summer day is a great pleasure. And as you can see, a very interesting place.
You're right, the landscape changes, sometimes very quickly, I know this by watching my photos from years ago, sometimes it changes due to human fault, and sometimes nature does its own thing...
Regards.
Thank you. It is lovely there.
DeleteIt looks lovely but I agreed with your comment in your other post, there's something really special about trees lining a river. Good to know your husband is feeling improved.
ReplyDeleteThanks Denise, and I do like trees along a river but understand why these ones were removed.
DeleteTo day my husband has improved more - which is pleasing.
Sounds like you had a lovely day out with your husband.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that he's improving, and taking a drive to enjoy nature together must have been refreshing.
Beautiful photos, Margaret!
Thank you Veronica. It was a good drive and my husband has improved more today..
Abrazos.
