Where ever we walk in the bush in late Spring, Summer or early Autumn we have to look for snakes here as they are all poisonous, they do no harm if you see one just don't move or get in it's way.
Thanks Colin. Those plants are a bit spikey, used to know their name but can't remember now. Banksias seem to grow well in many areas in Australia. Snakes, well we take them as they come, surprisingly we don't see that many.
Not only is Friendly Beache an amazing beach, but so is the surrounding nature. How beautiful and interesting the Banksia flower is, I didn't know about this tree.
That gull is makes a beautiful photo. I have always been partial to gulls ever since we lived by the ocean for many years. Wonderful scenery and loved looking at the fauna.
I like those beaches of clean and appetizing soft sand, the seagulls although around here there are those who say they are the rats of the sea but they cheer up with their song. Best regards.
We are ever so lucky here with our sand it's nearly always silky or very fine sand. Well seagulls do eat many things, one even took a 'chip' out of my mouth when we were on holiday.
Beautiful header and beautiful photos. I would be curious to meet some snake when I run in the country. Many seagulls live on the roofs around my house.
Siempre vigilantes las gaviotas. Muy bellas fotos.

DeleteThanks for the amazing sky in the Header, and the beautiful three-colored little bird.
ReplyDeleteThank you Duta. The header photo was taken down the Tamar River towards evening one fine day not very long ago.
Deleteoh dear.... snakes? I wouldn't venture walking there...

ReplyDeleteThank you Teresa.
DeleteThe colour in the sky is so good. The beach is scenic and revealing serenity.
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful beach, Tasmania has so many lovely beaches.
DeleteThe bird looks like a gull of some kind. It looks surprisingly dry but the soil would be very sandy.
ReplyDeleteWell I didn't know what kind of gull it was but David said it's a Pacific Gull Andrew. It was a bit dry as it was summer time when I took the photos.
Delete"Joe Blakes" eh?
ReplyDeleteLooks like great terrain for them.
I think a solid walking stick would be a good idea - the whacking variety.
Plenty of banksia around my neck of the wood - have a good one growing beside
my front porch.
Photo 3 - that needle like plant - ouch ! They are here also and they do hurt
if you brush against them.
Great report and photos which is your forte.
Cheers
Colin
Thanks Colin.
