Continuing the walk before people arrived for Christmas at the Caravan Park, along the river bank to the Huon River. For the life of me I don't know why the rubbish as in branches of trees are not removed from this Brown River. The views are from the left to right. A walk one can do along the river to the Huon River through the narrow pathway for a long way according to the children I was talking to.
The video is of the Huon Jet which takes people for rides up the Huon River and back sometimes coming into the Brown River especially if someone is staying in the caravan park and who is on the boat.
Those are great photos.
ReplyDeleteYou also has beautiful weather to see the blue sky.

It was a lovely day that day. Wow your temperature is F which is a bit of the chilly side but in our winter early mornings sometimes get to that temperature once in awhile.

We love it down there Laura.
DeleteSuch a pretty and wonderful river views. So green too.
ReplyDeleteVery peaceful there, standing and listening, there is a log or two to sit on.
DeleteLuscious photos. In the 1960s credit squeeze unemployment rose and my uncle who lived with us received government money in turn for working in a gang to de-snag the local rivers whereby all logs and fallen branches were removed from local rivers. This turned out to be a local environmental disaster with fish, crayfish, yabbies and probably platypus disappearing. No one thought in advance, perhaps it is best if we don't interfere with natural river processes. However, the river does look rather untidy.
ReplyDeleteUnderstand what you are saying and agree. The rubbish or fallen trees in the river should be moved due to that area flooding, the water would flow better, apart from that let it be. There are several platypus's in that river mainly up further past where the jet boat went on the left facing.
DeleteMore and more I think I would feel quite at home there.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you would.
