We stopped at Mackay for a few days and caught up with fellow travellers who go there most years.
No photos of Mackay this time as there were many posted in the past.
This city is before you get to Proserpine and the Gunna Go Caravan Park going north and of course after Proserpine going south and of course we stay here on the way north and then on the way south..
A link to Botanic Gardens in Mackay in 2019
Another link to a lighthouse and more.
As we were leaving noticed this lady doing her Yoga in front of everyone. We often see people doing their exercises of various kinds outside their caravans.

Gunna Go Caravan Park, Queensland
Be safe and keep well!
The Gunna Go Caravan Park we stayed in near Proserpine is a really nice park. There are two parts to it, the top part and the bottom part but both are joined so to speak. The amenities are very clean as is the laundry and pool.
There is a bar undercover with chairs and a table, it's here people congregate to meet other travellers and have a drink or two. Every Friday management put a barbecue on for their guest at no cost to those guests. Sausages and salads.
Usually a lot of people stay in this park but not last years winter holiday when we were there, we probably missed many stayers as we were later going north.
We stayed in the bottom half, photos were taken from our caravan site.

Hideaway Bay, Queensland
Be safe and keep well!
The ferry we sail on to get to mainland Australia has now stopped bringing people in caravans and motor homes entering the State of Tasmania, but freight is still permitted. Our Premier announced that yesterday morning. Tasmanians are permitted to return home but must quarantine for 14 days.
Hideaway Bay is a small town in the Whitsunday Region and not far from Proserpine where we stayed in the caravan park.
The view at Hideaway Bay is a beautiful place with most of the houses or shacks looking over the sea. It's a quiet place with just over 200 people and no shops. Not far to travel to some though. Part of the view and some houses of the area.

Conway and Wilson Beach, Queensland.
Conway Beach is not that from from Proserpine or Airlie Beach in Queensland.
Not many people live there, about 80 people!
There is a caravan park there plus a Diner which we visited one other year to have lunch.
Wilson Beach below is just around the corner from Conway Beach. Not many people live in the little town of Wilson Beach.

Continuing Winter holiday 2019.
Returned from our Tasmanian holiday, photos of it I will show later in the year as I'm wishing to finish the holiday in winter last year first.
Do hope everyone is keeping well in this trying time of the virus.
At present the Island is shut down, freight from the mainland is permitted in and Tasmanians returning home from abroad plus other States of Australia to self isolate for 14 days upon return to Tasmania.
Below photos were taken at Dingo Beach east of Proserpine in Queensland.
The two boats below well, the men were waiting for the tide to come in, we were there for a fair while sitting under the trees, watching.
Photos are of the area.
Did a little research on why it was called Dingo Beach and couldn't find anything.

Dingo Beach is not that far from Proserpine on the right of the map.
