During our time away Miss 6 and her dad went to Melbourne to a concert and then hired a car and drove to Canberra in our State Capital for a few days, going to Floriade (a flower displace) and a few other things whilst in Canberra. Miss 6's mum stayed home to look after her little brother Master 3.
On our way to the next stop for the night, before we left Orange there was another hard frost where the temperature was once again minus 7 deg C in the morning.
The landscape being covered in frost with frost on the trees.
The photos were taken from the moving vehicle as there was no where safe to stop to take photos.
This is a playground near Bathurst, NSW.
ahhhh, fog does wonderful things to our world.
ReplyDeleteIt does, makes everything look so different
DeleteI see space... so much space.
ReplyDelete: )
There is a lot of space in Australia.
DeleteLas últimas imágenes con la niebla son mis preferidas, la niebla crea una fabulosa atmósfera.

Fog makes everything look so very different
DeleteThese are beautiful pictures of the frost. I love the idea of sending your granddaughter a photo a day while you are on your trip. A nice way to stay in touch.
ReplyDeleteIt was indeed, kept me busy.
DeleteLovely photographs, especially the last one.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea with Miss 6 grand-daughter.
All the best Jan
Thanks Jan, it was fun doing that with Miss 6.
DeletePretty pictures
ReplyDeleteThanks Adam.
DeleteNow you'll have to visit Orange in Summer and be shocked with the temperature difference.
ReplyDeleteOnly very hardy people I reckon can survive in Orange and that immediate area of NSW.
Still it is a most productive area of food, so frost/freeze winter or the heat of summer we should be grateful for. Obviously works.
Great idea with the grand-daughter.
Cheers
Colin
I would imagine it would be rather hot in summer there.
DeletePeople must get used to the cold in Orange, usually after a frost there is a lovely sunny day.
I am wondering what you did for caravan heating, as I am sure a reverse cycle unit would not really work. That was a good idea to keep in touch with your granddaughter, and she now knows 'what is out there'.
ReplyDeleteIf it's really cold we use a fan heater which is very effective, some people have diesel heater or gas ones installed if they intend to spend a lot of time in the colder areas of Australia. We use the reverse cycle unit if a little cold and that does keep one warm enough.
Delete'What's out there' was of a big concern for her :) So I sent photos of children's playgrounds, schools, scenery and odd thing we saw.
I wonder if your granddaughter finds some of the things Nanny & Poppy see boring, as my grandchildren often think about the things me & Papa like to see and do
ReplyDeleteNo Jo-Anne, she didn't find things boring in the photos I sent as I chose carefully what pictures I took to send her. She likes craft so when I came across craft I took a photo and sent her, plus schools, playground, scenery and many other things I thought we would like and apparently she did.
DeleteHow wonderful that was for Miss 6. She would have loved hearing from you and learning so much. I think this is great. :)
ReplyDeleteYes she did learn, her mind is older than 6 years :)
DeleteYou captured the cold!
ReplyDeleteI did indeed do that, and it was cold.
DeleteSure does look bleak and cold.Good idea with Miss 6.
ReplyDeleteWas nice driving along with the sun coming in the vehicle though, warmed up the bones :)
DeleteThat's a great idea with Miss 6 grand-daughter:) Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sussi.
DeletePictures came out beautiful in fog. :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous photos, well taken. The fog is great picture.
ReplyDeleteFrosty Australia is beginning to look like Canada. ❆❆❆
ReplyDeleteIt's so cold! Please have a cup of hot coffee.
ReplyDeleteLovely idea to keep in touch with Miss 6. I love the look of frost on the ground, as long as I'm safely warm inside. A heavy frost almost looks like it snowed. We don't get such heavy frosts here in Adelaide, barely any frost at all.
ReplyDeletewonderful sceneries.
ReplyDeletehave a great day.
how lovely to stay connected to with your 6 years old grand daughter dear Margaret :)
ReplyDeletei found these frosted places so absorbing and little gloomy
