It is autumn so from the City Park here in Launceston comes some trees that have begun to change their colours. Pleased these photos were taken last week after driving past yesterday afternoon, the wind had taken it's toll and so many leaves were missing from the trees.
My husband went to take a good look at the tree below and discovered a hot water bottle at the base of it :)
Launceston City Park was established in 1820'a by the Launceston Horticultural Society and then handed over to the Launceston City Council in 1863.
The grounds are beautifully maintained with many events being held there in winter and summer.
It really looks quite magnificent there.
ReplyDeleteIt does look lovely, there was a pretty scene each time you turned.
DeleteIt looks like a wonderful, wonderful place. We have been so dry that a lot of our autumnal colour didn't happen this year.
ReplyDeleteI wonder whether the hot water bottle was left for the tree, or was used by a rough sleeper.
Goodness only knows regarding the hot water bottle, the park closes at night and open again about 7.30am.
DeleteLet's hope you have received rain by now..
It is truly a lovely park. I remember those feathery grasses.
ReplyDeleteI thought you would recall some scenes from the park, i like those feathery plants, they look good with nice light.
DeleteWow, gorgeous colors! Especially that first tree. Enjoy while they last.
ReplyDeleteUnusual tree the first photo, I though it was dying until my husband said, NO however, the tree didn't have a name on it.
