Some photos in and around the Bowen area in Queensland last winter 2017.
Don't know who these two people are, they were looking for shells.
The fish and chip shop down by the wharf with lovely fresh fish daily - for lunch oneday we had Barramundi and chips, my favourite fish. This fish shop was extremely busy the line was 2 and out the door.
For those that love to live by the sea the 3 above photos is your view because there are houses behind me.
Down where we had a picnic this the water park for the children and of course adults to stand under and get cool.
Nothing beats being on the water.
ReplyDelete(I need a boat)
You tell me you don't have one for use in the area where you live! You do need to acquire one :)
Deletebeautiful photos/location! The comment slowness has been fixed, so I went back to embedded comments, because I like replying to each commenter at my blog, and it flows natural when embedded.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that - I have turned mine to what I had before 'embedded', works well now thank goodness.
DeleteI'm imagining me living in one of those houses and waking up to that view every day for the rest of my life. I can probably go back to sleep now with these images in my head. zzzzzzzz
ReplyDeleteOh River I knew you would like these sea photo :)
DeleteI first saw an emptying bucket fountain in New Zealand. They are great fun. It is a lovely outlook to gaze out upon.
ReplyDeleteThose buckets are great fun for the children plus the water slide. We first came across this in Renmark a few years ago.
DeleteFish and chips, done well, is one of the world’s great dishes!
ReplyDeleteYou can never beat great fish and chips :)
DeleteThese pictures have me dreaming of warm summer days.
ReplyDeleteYou won't have too long to wait Rosemary, we are in a heatwave here in Tasmania at the moment, over 30degC everyday where I live, just love it.
DeleteWonderful clarity to these.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill, they are a mixture of my phone and Nikon.
DeleteEl azul del mar, tiene una magnÃfica intensidad.
ReplyDeleteBesos
It does, amazing in different areas how the colour changes of the sea.
DeleteI do love the sea. If ever I win the lottery a house on the water would be high on my list.
ReplyDeleteBlogger seems to have fixed the slow commenting issue now. Which is a relief.
My late parents house was by the sea, beautiful sea views and beach below - I sold the house because we didn't want to live in their city :)
DeleteThank goodness blogger is fixed for commenting and I have put it all back to normal.
As I said in my response to your previous post, I love the Bowen area and its beautiful beaches. I spent quite a lot of time there back in the 90s, both visiting for weekends when I was working out at Collinsville, and also when I managed a resort at Horseshoe Bay for a brief while.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful area.
It is a lovely area, it's grown but still lots of room for many houses.
DeleteOh so lovely
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely place Jo-Anne, you and your husband might get up there before too long.
DeleteWhat a wonderful view those houses have! Here only the very wealthiest can afford to have beach views. I love the texture of the rocks on the beach.
ReplyDeleteAlways Real Estate Agents ask more money for view of the sea but some places here in Tasmania more remote areas it's a lot cheaper.
DeletePlenty of water activities for locals and tourists.
ReplyDeleteI do not like barramundi even if it is so popular and mostly
quite pricy. Sea Trout and flathead are my choices.
Colin
Don't mind the price of barramundi one can buy a big enough piece for a reasonable price and I'm the one that usually eats it, not often does Shank's Pony eat 'my' barramuni :)
DeleteTrout is a lovely fish as is flathead.
I'm a fish lover.. I love to eat fried isn.. :D
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteI wish I could go swimming to the sea in your photo, while we had a big snowfall yesterday.
ReplyDeleteYour summer will come.
DeleteBeautiful sea images, I love them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bob.
DeleteThank you. Pictures of warmer climates always help me get through the cold winters.
ReplyDeleteI'm pleased they help.
DeleteOh those photos of the sea make me want to live there!
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit hot in summer I expect.
DeleteSea is so beautiful and wonderful in your photos dear Margaret!
