It is nice there, we called into the shop area but declined the cheese. Have a post from 2015 and I purchased Lavender Cheese. http://whiteangels-thoughts.blogspot.com.au/2015/01/ashgrove-cheese-farm.html
Interesting history to this area. Bodalla cheese I think is now owned by the people across "The Ditch"!!! I love their brand of cheese - always with the Bega one in my fridge.
The countryside looks fantastic............no wonder the dairy cows produce such wonderful milk and cheese. Cheers Colin
I believe Bodalla is associated with Fonterra that NZ Company and I expect. Like Bega Cheese and we also have Ashgrove cheese from Tasmania :) Beautiful country through where we went but of course we didn't see the best of it.
Thanks Martin. Suppose when you come to think of it, few of my photos have in the past ended up somewhere in a few Travel Brochures and other 'things' here in Australia :)
my kids like cheese ,either i don't mind pizza with cheese but had bad experience of swallowing melted cheese once so just being extra careful while looking at the menu
I've worked in a cheese factory, it's quite an interesting job. Learning to wrap the great blocks of cheese for export so that no air could enter and cause mould was a bit of a challenge. once a day a random block was chosen and the wrappings tested with a liquid dye. If it penetrated the wrappings the person who'd wrapped that particular block was instructed to be more careful.
I would stop for oyesters! Love oyesters; love any kind of seafood. And cheese as well.

DeleteNot a place I can remember ever going through but that means nothing many places I don't notice while travelling
ReplyDeleteThat sometimes happens one doesn't take too much notice of towns you are passing through.
DeleteAnother place I've never been that still seems familiar... Any wine to go with the cheese?
ReplyDeleteNo they didn't have any wine, sure we could have found some though.

There is no shortage of places to spoil one's taste buds.
