Lovely time away. Stayed at a caravan park opposite Great Oyster Bay on the East Coast of Tasmania for several nights.
The Bay is wide and sheltered and opens onto the Tasman Sea, main town is Swansea.
Every night this was our view across the bay, such a delicate sunset.
The black cross is where we stayed for several days.
Did you know the first Coles Supermarket was built at Wilmot here in Tasmania - have a photo of it somewhere, it was burnt to the ground several years ago. Coles Bay is said to be named after Silas Cole. Not sure who he was :) The link might be a good read of that area of Great Oyster Bay/Coles Bay. http://www.parks.tas.gov.au/index.aspx?base=2631
Thanks for the link Lee, interesting man was Silas Cole as he was like many a bit of a rebel when young.Made me smile when the article says 'he was calmer by 1845' :)
