Occasionally I like to make digital graphics.
Recently I had time to quickly make the below digital wallpaper for my Galaxy Samsung Notebook 4.
I should imagine it would fit most smartphones. Resolution is 1080 X 1920
Below is a photo of the Wallpaper on my phone.
A coloured comparison of Australia and Europe.
We passed this sign on our way up the middle of Australia.
Margaret I love comparison Australia and Europe. It is hard to imagine how big is Austrlia comparing to so varied Europe. The last sigh is so lovely
ReplyDeleteOften post the comparison as it reminds me along with others how huge Australia is.
DeleteOh original!
ReplyDeleteyou have a beautiful creation !
this gives me an idea for the 2017 st valentine day haha !
Very pleasant to share this wallpaper, thank you Margaret
You are welcome. I often make small 'cards' for Valentine's Day.
Deletenever seen that comparison before. I know in the age of Imperialism, it wasn't uncommon for huge places to be ruled by tiny (in land size) nations.
ReplyDeleteHave used a different map before Adam, and had one of the USA and Australia much the same size.
DeleteBeautiful !! That's an excellent idea to make your own wallpaper !!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend :)
Thanks Ela. I enjoy making those wallpapers.
DeleteVery attractive Margaret
ReplyDeleteThank you Rosemary.
DeleteVery pretty wallpaper for your phone. I love the welcome sign!
ReplyDeleteThank you. A great sign :)
DeleteDigital wallpaper? Goodness you are clever.
ReplyDeleteLove that sign. I suspect the number of flies was underestimaged though. There seem to be that many at most barbecues.
I don't think I'm clever. I just taught myself, I fiddle and it never ceases to amaze me what happens.
DeleteSurely there are more flies at certain times of the year.
Nice wallpaper and I like what you did with the Europe and the Australia map.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
Thanks regarding the Wallpaper.
DeleteI found the comparison of Europe and Australian map on the internet.
I would not know where to start to make digital art. The Glendambo sign is funny.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know where to start once with digital art. Fiddling helped but then I had time in the evening to 'fiddle', it progressed from there.
DeleteGood sign :)
Glendambo! Amusing census sign. The humans and the sheep would be correct, but I have my doubts about the flies. Probably at times a couple of more "noughts" could be added!! ha ha.
ReplyDeleteThe map comparison should wake up people from the northern hemisphere as to just how large Australia is and that about 80% has very little population, that being clearly shown on your recent trip on the western side of our continent - the Eastern seaboard has nearly all our inhabitants.
Cheers
Colin
Many flies Colin, far too many at certain times of the year.
DeleteI often put a map on my blog with comparisons - last one was similar.
I do think that Australians that have travelled in the bush can totally understand that sign.
good info, thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome.
DeleteI knew Australia was large but not large enough to hold Europe. Now I know.
ReplyDeleteI like your wallpaper. Only 30 humans are in that town!
The damn flies of Glendambo keep eating any new inhabitants.
DeleteIt is a shocking state of affairs and the damn Government will not step in and do anything about it!!! (Just joking - Aussies have a great sense of propriety when it comes to humour!!)
Cheers
Colin ( Breeder of pedigreed bush flies)
John, we went through a town which had a motel/hotel that only had 8 humans living there :)
DeleteIt's really amazing how large Australia is, and the distance that those of us that travel to see a part of it.
I love the good old Aussie humour in the Glendambo sign.
ReplyDeleteI love that type of humour too - great for we Australians.
DeleteI set photos as my wallpaper on my phone, the boys like to change it to something from Five Nights of Freddy don't ask I don't know it is some bloody game or video they like.
ReplyDeleteSo many people are always changing their Wallpapers that's good - for the are rather neat at times.
DeleteLove the wallpaper. Im always changing mine. The sign made me laugh. Have a great weekend. what's left of it.
ReplyDeleteLisa
Thanks Lisa...Weekend nearly over :)
DeleteI wonder who counted all of those flies...
ReplyDeleteI;m sure it wasn't you :)
DeleteYour phone wallpaper is gorgeous! I like the Europe/Australia comparison, reminds me just how vast my country is.
ReplyDeleteWith 2,000,000 flies, maybe I won't be visiting Glendambo. At least until they discover fly spray (*~*)
Thanks re wallpaper :)
DeleteFlies in the outback, some places as you know have more than other places :)
