Autumn tree in City Park, Launceston, Tasmania. It's an Oak tree and all the trees in the park have been planted and some are native to Australia.
Play area and water fountain. I used to bring my children here to play years ago and not much has changed just renovations.
The City Park has several entrances which are locked at sunset, open sunrise I believe, this is one entrance.
A beautifully colored tree.
ReplyDeleteIt sure it, Anne. I happened to venture in there at the right time.
DeleteSo nice!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandi.
DeleteA pleasant place to spend a couple of hours.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is. There are monkey's there too which are going somewhere not to return as they are becoming inbred, so we are told.
DeleteI love oak trees especially when they are allowed to grow to full size and have so much shade for people to sit under and the autumn displays are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely trees, it's not that often we see them growing to full size so that in itself is a treat, R.
DeleteBeautiful tree 🌳 and that is a unique water 💧 fountain. Lovely photos, Margaret.
ReplyDeleteYes, Linda a gorgeous tree. I've never seen another water fountain like that one. It's very different.
DeleteHow beautiful it is! Right now, in front of my house, there is a ginkgo biloba tree that is losing its yellow leaves, covering the ground with that color.
ReplyDeleteNow they are such a beautiful tree, Norma. Slow growing large tree.
DeleteHow beautiful the trees look!

DeleteI would like to run through those red leaves typical of Autumn.
ReplyDeleteCrunching underneath your feet...I'll go with you.
DeleteVery beautiful! I wonder how old are those trees..must be over a couple of hundreds..
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that one of the Oak trees in the park was 180 years old, not sure if it's the one I have shown here, Angie.
DeleteThe park looks beautiful. That tree is so big, I love it.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful tree, Mary.
DeleteSchöne große Bäume und die Farben sind klasse.

DeleteLovely photographs of the tree, and the park looks a nice place to visit.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thank you Jan. It is good to walk through there and take it all in. Good for the soul.
DeleteIt looks lovely. It is sad that they lock the parks at night though. A sign of our times.
ReplyDeleteYes a sign of our times. It is a beautiful place to walk through EC and take it all in.
DeleteThis familiar entrance to City Park in Launceston, framed by the golden hush of an autumn oak, evokes tender memories of childhood laughter and quiet constancy in a place where time gently renovates but rarely erases.
ReplyDeleteLot of memories there, the children who play in their area and even have their own loo, amazing. I've taken my own sons there and grandchildren over the years to enjoy their play area and see all the trees, ponds and so on.
DeleteGoing with your children to City Park is great fun... until it is not. But I would still go, even if you have to take a husband, a dog or a ladies' coffee group.
ReplyDeletelol. Yes Hels. It's always worth going no matter what.
DeleteEs un bello lugar, me gusto el arbol. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteThank you J.P.
DeleteTruly a lovely park!
ReplyDeleteThank you and lovely walking there on a warm summer's day too, a lot of shade trees, but autumn is also a beautiful time to walk there too.
DeleteThe Oak tree is very besutiful, Margaret. I love to see the color and the park.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Marit, I knew you would enjoy seeing the colours of the trees - you do love your garden.
DeleteGorgeous shots of the trees, Margaret!
ReplyDeleteThe park looks like such a peaceful spot to unwind and enjoy the surroundings.
What a beautiful place to stay for a while.
ReplyDeleteThe tree is really beautiful with the autumn colours.
The playground with the fountain is also very nice for children to play there.
I wish you a nice week.
Greetings Irma
