Maleny, Queensland. Australia

Maleny is a town in the Heart of the Hinterland, it's up in the hills and has that country feel to it.
The view towards Maleny is overlooking the Sunshine Coast. Queensland.
Maleny used to be a 'timber town' then progressed to farming/dairy, fruit growing and now tourism.
Population is over a 1,000 people and the hub of the town is reasonable busy for a country town.

The Main Street which is on the hill.

The Police Station plus Police House converted from a house in about 1952.

A view from down the road towards the Sunshine Coast.

Another view down where by you can see the sea and part of the Sunshine Coast.

Novels!

I often wonder why people fall asleep when reading a book/novel....perhaps the saying I wrote on the graphic I made explains a bit :)

Sunshine Coast Views!

I like it where we stay on the Sunshine Coast, it's what I call central.  It's our 3rd time staying at the same place.  Have lounge room, 2 bedrooms, private laundry, bathroom etc.  The kitchen overlooks the lounge room with the dinning room behind. The heater/air-conditioning on the ceiling at the entrance to the hallway.  We have a balcony which over looks the sea. The apartment is serviced once a week with all fresh clean linen. All one has to do is buy food and either cook it in the apartment or eat out.  We were only home there for one full day.

Across the road to the north.

View from the corner outside the apartment of a winter's sunset.

The apartments on the corner over looking the sea.

Noosa area!

Have returned home some thousand of kms after crossing the sea from one shore to another.

Whilst up in the sub-tropics we visited Noosa and around that area. The whole area is cluttered with losts of round a bouts, the main beach is small there are far nicer beaches south of Noosa.

Called into Peregian Beach, Qld, and it's a lovely beach at that.

Peregian Beach below the Noosa area.

A beach at the Noosa area.

A large Ficus Tree near the above, pleasant picnic area.

Busy Times!

Very busy few weeks on the Sunshine Coast.
A Wedding, catching up with family, having a wonderful time with 3 of our grandchildren & their parents. Also catching up with friends from home who now live in and around this area.
Driving here and there with a little shopping inbetween, plus another busy week ahead with the heater on every night, infact it's been colder than where we live. (at night only)  When all said and done it is 'winter'.
The beach is across the road, we have a swimming pool here at the Apartment.

The Maroochy River

The Big Pineapple, Nambour.  Queensland.
This was left to ruin and has now been restored with a train ride and market at the site thus far.
There was a pinapple orchard there once, and I can remember it was a great tourist attraction.
