Peregian Beach, Sunshine Coast

We returned yesterday from a trip around Tasmania in the Caravan.  Gone just about 2 weeks.
Luckily I was able to view blogs and comment in many places using my phone whilst away.

So back to the holiday in Winter 2017.

Peregian Beach is a lovely long beach and we have visited it many times before.
People swim in the winter on the Sunshine Coast - well some people do, I'm not one of them.

  2. La playa parece que tiene arena fina, muy apropiada para caminar descalzo y así poder masagear la planta de los pies.

    1. Many of our beaches have fine sand, some even finer which makes for lovely walking on the sand.

  3. The only place close to here where you can swim in winter is Florida.

    1. The further south in the USA and further north in Australia - if you are game enough in winter but not summer too many things in the water.

  4. Winter in those places is the only time I would be comfortable so yes, I would swim.
They are beautiful all year round though.

    1. I would in winter only, many places have nets further up north though, and some places you just wouldn't go for a swim at all anytime of year.

    1. Tasmania is deceiving as in size - glad he found out it takes weeks if not months/years to see most of it.

  10. Perigian Beach is up north from Dicky's beach. Like 1/2 about between glorious Noosa and Caloundra.
I did plenty of surfing all year around as long as the sun was out when I lived up there but NEVER at DUSK or DAWN - Shark feeding time - ha ha! And I had no intentions of being an entree for some hungry shark.
I can't recall though if Perigian Beach was patrolled like eg: Alexander Headlands, Mooloolaba, Noosa and Sunshine Beaches to name just some of those magnificent beaches along that coastline.
Great photos to promote our wonderful coastline......the best in the World.

    1. Yes Perigian Beach is north of Dicky Beack, but that's ok as we don't go to beaches in order Colin.
Perigian Beach is patrolled, swim between the flags etc. as is usual.
      It's a long lovely coastline.

    1. So many people love the beach because of the sea..always nicer if the sand is good.

  12. Must be the time of no stinging jellyfish and crocodiles but I would not swim there either.

    1. Never heard of a croc down that way, but you never know - if the seas get warmer.
There is no sign up saying stingers in that area, but still you never know.

  14. Glad you have just enjoyed a good break - your new header is perfect, it spells out just what I need, that is, some much warmer weather.

    1. I think most of us don't like winter to linger but then if summer goes on forever it's similar.

  19. You keep visiting places I know so well, Margaret! I worked in Peregian Beach for a while...firstly in a real estate office then known as "T.M. Burke"...later taken over by L.J. Hooker....and then, after that, for a while I was chef/cook at "The Ebony Emu" restaurant at The Peregian Beach Motel!!

That was all while my ex and I live at Coolum...and then, later, at Sunshine Beach....from early 1979 until early 1986,
