Dicky Beach, Queensland.

Near Dicky Beach in Queensland - map below.

We headed to other beaches below the Sunshine Coast but of course it's still classed as the Sunshine Coast and came across Dicky Beach plus a few others.
Looking out to sea we found many ships sailing with their cargo on board.  We stood for ages watching in the distance as those ships sailed by.

  1. Heipsan,
it's nice to see blue sea, because we have ice on it.
    Lovely photos.

    1. That's right. I like to put a map on blog once in a while as it helps to let us all know where these places are in Australia.

  7. Where is the old wreck? That was a draw card when I lived up at Caloundra and
    Mooloolaba.
The container ships going to the Far Eastern (China, Taiwan, Japan Etc) countries going and coming from the Port of Brisbane are still quite near the coast.

    2. If I recall the "wreck" is in a river like inlet and Margaret that beach like most of the beaches in that area is very long.

  10. We often used to call those cargo ships $2 plastic ships and tell each other there goes another load to the Cheap as Chips stores. Quite insensitive we were. The beach looks beautiful.

  12. Beautiful sea views but I’d rather be on land than on one of those ships!

    1. Don't mind crossing on the ship that takes us across the sea from Tasmania to the State of Victoria, but that's about it.

  16. When I was a little girl I caught a flat-head there...and the damn thing spiked me. I immediately yelped and dropped it...back into the sea!
