View from Mt. Archer, Queensland

Mt. Archer National Park is 522 kilometres northwest of Brisbane.  It's the backdrop of the city of Rockhampton which marks the start of Tropical Queensland.
Mount Arches is 604 meters above sea level.  The park covers 4250 hectares of open forest and woolands.
There is a nice picnic area with a good sized car park which is sealed as the road is up to Mt. Archer.

    1. Should imagine there would be birds galore further in the bush - we didn't see any that I recall but then we didn't go walking too far.

    1. We did sit there for awhile, there appeared to be a restaurant there but it was closed, maybe it only opens in summer.

    1. It is a wonderful view, would have been much improved if it was clearer but we get the idea of how nice it is.

    1. Lots of walks in that area for those that want to, many cars were there and people returning late in the afternoon when we were there after their long walks.
