The caravan park in Bowen, Queensland

The caravan park we stayed in whilst in Bowen was down by the sea.  There are several parks at Bowen due to several beaches in the area and the warmer climate in the winter.

These cabins were behind us and they face the sea.

Just across the road 'the view'.

The pool at the caravan park.

  3. Magnificent sea view; Although it is somewhat distant, it is beneficial to walk and at the end of the road, we find the reward.

    1. The sea came to the rocks, another area had no rocks at all, was a beach but the tide goes far out in the latter area.

    1. I'm sure the council will replant and do whatever is necessary. There is a playground to the right of the pool.

    1. Really lovely there Bill, though Bowen is known for wind due to where it's situated, when we were there hardly a breeze.

  7. The caravan park appears from the photos to be well above the danger area of cyclonic high tides?????????? So should not have had any damage from "Debbie" in that respect.
Funny isn't it, mango prices have already risen in the supermarkets????

The pool looks very inviting for the residents.......no stingers, sea snakes etc
    in that cooling spot.
Lovely photos......postcard variety, especially the "vista" view of the sea.
    Cheers

PS: Still rain here in what is fast becoming Finschhafen, PNG by the sea in Terrigal, NSW. ha ha! The "ha ha" part is frivolity on my part!!!!

    1. Oh dear, strange how mango prices are high now - always happens, tomatoes and such will be next.
Where those rocks I expect those rocks were there to give shelter from storms. Further along the sea and a beach where the tide we noticed went far out.
Hope that rain stops soon, as if I recall it's rained there since you have moved with a nice day here and there.

    1. Rosemary, it's a good to have a choice and many people use their pool in preference to the sea because of the nasties in the sea especially Summer.

  11. A cabin facing the sea would be just my cup of tea. Throw in one of those shady spreading trees and I'm in heaven.

  12. Beautiful, beautiful beaches of Bowen...I always stayed at the Rose Bay Caravan Park (in a beachfront cabin) at Rose Bay, looking out to Gloucester Island...how I loved staying in that cabin with the ocean as my neighbour.

    1. Saw Rose Bay Caravan Park didn't take a photo though.
There are several nice small beaches and a long one that we saw in Bowen, it's a pleasant town.

    2. Te "long one" was probably Queen's Beach, Margaret. :)
