Some tropical trees

Went for a short drive a couple of days ago to Lake Morris, Cairns.
Beautiful trees lined the windy road.  The road is 16 klms long or short! and 218 big bends, some hairpin ones. (My husband counted them on the way down)

A photo of what those trees are like.

  2. Beautiful! Here in Montreal, Canada, the weather has been so hot and humid that Environment Canada has issued warnings. There is a lovely lilac tree next to the house where I live and the lilacs have dried out. Sadly they don't take this kind of heat very well. However, the lilies, daisies and hibiscus seem to handle it much better.

  7. They are pretty trees, all shades the color green. And a pretty curvy road, too.

  8. Love those trees. My tummy doesn't like winding roads though.

  9. It sure is a road of "hair pin bends".
If I recall some rest places are on it???
Keep having fun in the sun. Slightly green with envy - ha ha.

    1. There are a few places near the bottom of the road that one can rest on a bend!
Lovely warm weather. Days are cloudy with intermittent sun. Rain, no.

  12. Lovely trees, I bet that road is beautifully shady in summer.
We drove through a similar stretch in northern NSW on our way to Brisbane back in 1971.

  13. Beautiful... but from someone who gets carsick not the best road for me. Perhaps that is why I ended in flat open country with straight roads.

  18. I think it would take me forever to drive that road. I would want to be stopping and exploring every 100 metres!
