Golf Club at Bicheno, Tasmania

The Gold Club at Bicheno here in Tasmania was built in the 1960's...it's used by visitors and locals.
I'm not into Golf but many are.

Natureworld is not far from Bicheno and is a Wildlife Sanctuary for all ages.  A Restaurant is attached and offers breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.
Some of you maybe familiar with the cartoon Taz modelled on the Tasmanian Devil.

A bit of bush up the road that leads to a National Park.

  4. The scenery at the club and the weather look wonderful. I'm not patient enough to spend half a day chasing a little white ball around!

  5. I've never golfed but I did see the Tasmanian Devil cartoons and there is some mystique surrounding the Tasmanian Devils.

  7. Attractive course with obviously all up-markets amenities ( Covered golf carts!).
Must be well patronised for carts to be in vogue?
I love my golf but can't swing a club anymore due to my busted bloody back.
Too much sport as a young person sometimes is not so good - overtaxed
backs are very annoying and are often the end of any sporting dreams - (wild
as these dreams may be!!!! ).
    Cheers

PS: Have a guess at our weather???

    1. Well I suppose that's relaxing for you, unless he gets cross because his white ball won't go into the hole! :)

  9. The autumn light and shadows are pretty in all your photos. Maybe sometime you can go along and drive the golf cart since you don't play. It's quite fun!

  13. I really must get back to Tasmania again. A beautiful place - and I really like the climate.
I am with Mark Twain on the subject of golf 'a good walk, ruined.'

  14. Oh how I would love to play on that course. 40 years ago, I had dreams of turning pro. For I could really putt, but the pressured of playing for thousands of dollars in front of thousands of people would have surely crushed me. I would still want to go play for fun if my health was restored.

    1. What was meant to be was....No regrets I expect, nothing you can do to change the past. Expect you have played a game or two then.

  15. My first husband was into golf, but he never played much. Too often his expensive left-handed clubs were pawned for beer or petrol money. The man couldn't stick to a budget even if he had super glue on his fingers.
