Pieman River, Tasmania, Australia.

On a calm sunny day the Pieman River is beautiful with reflections in the water.  The river goes out to the Great Southern Ocean on the West Coast of Tasmania.

My husband took two of his male friends on a trip there several years ago.  I gave him my little camera to take a photo or two.  Husband came back unbroken, but the camera wore out on the way :)
Back then we had a caravan and it's where they slept in Parks.

We sold the Caravan at the end of 2008 or early 2009 because I was looking after my late father.  In April this year we are buying another new one, and at the present we hope it's being made.
So with a new Caravan coming we are thinking about where we will visit in Tasmania and the remainder of Australia in our Winter.
We have traveled Australian States and Territories many times, both with the Caravan, and by car staying in Motels along the way.

  3. The water and the reflections are so incredibly beautiful. I don't think I've seen a picture of water that is more blue.

  4. I have to agree with Linda K that blue river is the bluest blue I've ever seen, but then I have
been told that "The Apple Isle" is really picture perfect and your photo certainly give evidence
    of that.
J Strauss would have gone berserk with the Pieman River, if he could call the Danube blue
and wrote that lilting waltz, what on earth would he have written if he saw the Pieman River???
    Maybe a polka version of "A Wing-Wong for a Goose's Bridle" - ha ha??
    Cheers

    1. We do have picture perfect scenery at times.
Yes I wonder what Strauss would have written regarding the Pieman, maybe something out of this world I could play on my piano.

  7. My mother dropped the 2nd digital camera I've ever owned. I was pretty mad. I always get a little worried I'll lose or drop mine on a big trip.

    1. Oh did she. Cameras are so small these days so therefor slippery. I'm glad I have my big Nikon as well as a small camera.

    1. I am proud of his photo seeing he's not into photography. We are waiting patiently, very patiently for the van. We will be most likely be over your way next year.
