The Smile!

Our second youngest grandchild has just turned 3.  He is the little boy I delivered on the side of the Highway on the Sunshine Coast just over 3 years ago.  They all now live in the same city as we do.
We took him for a ride in the vehicle the other day, put a DVD on for him to watch as he sat in the seat.  So he says, 'Thank you Nanny'.  Such lovely manners. The smile on this face says it all.

  5. That is the perfect smile. I remember when you had to deliver your own Grandson, your being a nurse was very helpful. Oh he is a handsome little fella. Hugs xo G

  7. The car dvd has brought an end to, how far it is yet. Great that he has good manners. Some children just pick them up and others don't no matter how hard the parent tries.

    1. No asking how far with him. You are correct with the manners, if he forgets his parents constantly remind him.

  8. I'm a little jealous of kids with the dvd/movies in the car. I was maybe a decade before that became popular enough. I remember boring trips down the interstate for hours and hours.

    1. Oh yes, how technology has changed what we can have in the cars today. I also remember the long trips as a child :) long time ago.

  9. A mid-wifery (?? my spelling??) by the roadside - well done.
Maybe that is the answer to having well mannered children??
So get thee hence "Matron" Margaret and station yourself by a highway.
Who knows you may deliver us more well mannered children!

God my street could do with some well mannered kids.
However, I reckon it is the parents who are to blame.
Some here are producing and encouraging little Frankensteins!

    2. Ah shucks - you are too kind.
But I see things that would make your hair turn into
various colours! Too frightening to put on your blog.
      Cheers
