Across the Road

The man across the road was going down a street near home and had an accident.  By looking at his vehicle one wouldn't know except for two flat tyres.  Apparently underneath the car the damage is extensive likely making the 'Ute' right off according to a mechanic.

A car parked on the side of the road, another car coming in another direction and neighbour travelling along the road and one of them didn't give way! So hence the neighbour ran into the side of the road, the concrete kerb to be exact.  Knowing him he would have been travelling too fast.

The Ute is parked facing the wrong way, but that doesn't matter for it's where it had to be towed.

  1. Angel, I hope your neighbor wasn't hurt. It takes so much to repair a car now. One of our biggest challenges here in Texas is the deer that run through the countryside. If you hit one, you are likely to incur at least $1000 damage, and that is usually the amount of the deductible on the insurance. The other challenge is ice on the roads, as it is so rare that people don't know how to drive on it.

    1. No he wasn't hurt, thank goodness.
Oh the deer, can relate to that with one jumping out in front of us once, but of course not a problem in Tasmania really. Gosh ice, black ice in our winter time only in certain areas...not a lot of people know how to drive in many conditions I feel.

  2. Here where I live the biggest driving threats are drunk drivers. Been a number of high speed arrests for that of late, right in town too. Except for the flats your neighbors truck looks unharmed, at least from this angle.

    1. They are a problem some drivers. Here a blitz of pull ups of drivers on the road reviled that more of our drivers were using recreational drugs. Not good.

  4. Oh, dear, expensive to fix, I'm sure. Maybe he has learned to slow down.

    1. Will be expensive, his vehicle was towed away on the back of a truck yesterday, so we wait and see if it returns. I don't think he will slow down as he is still going fast up the street.

    1. Yes Jo-Anne, you are not wrong there, but it's his own fault.

  8. With a ute like that you'd think he'd be insured! But ... I hope he doesn't read your blog!!!

    1. He has several vehicles so let's hope he is insured. He won't read my blog, he doesn't even know that I have one. If he did read it or find it and recognise anything well, good on him :)
